The OLAS Float-On fits 3 x technologies into 1 compact unit. It is a floating, waterproof, USB rechargeable torch, with multiple power modes for regular use. The charging pins double up as water sensors to initiate a strobe, visible over 5nm away at night. It can also connect to the OLAS app offering all the same advantages as the tag.
The OLAS Float-On is ideal for anyone sailing during the day and into the night. In any overboard situation the visual contact is essential, at dusk or night this is only possible via a position indicating light. Whether the light is worn by or thrown to the casualty, the automatic activation could mean the difference between life and death.
OLAS Tags and the OLAS Float-ON pair with your device to create a virtual tether between your phone/tablet and crew members, children, pets or objects, such as a lifebuoy. When the virtual tether is broken; due to crew overboard the OLAS mobile Application will:
– Emit an audible alarm and light signal.
– Record the time and GPS location where the incident occurred.
– Clearly illustrate the direction and course to return to the alert GPS location.
– Advise on VHF Mayday Call, with auto input location.
